DESCRIPTION:Outreach recitals bring together students (of teacher members)\, family members and teachers with a senior community who welcome the music makers.  The programs include a wide range of solo and ensemble literature.  While most performers are pianists; vocal\, string\, brass and woodwind solo and ensembles are also welcome.  Date for entry is November 29\, 2026\, EMAILED. \nInformation for entering the Outreach Recital is found in the Student Activities Booklet. In order to enter students\, you must download\, read and use the instructions found here. \nGuidelines for Recitals \nGCMTA members in good standing are eligible to enter their students in GCMTA events.  If you wish to enter your child or student into a GCMTA event\, and are not a member\, please contact our Membership Chair\, and join here.

SUMMARY:MSMTA High School Recognition Exams - Columbia Center Day 2
DESCRIPTION:Prerecorded videos for 2021: For 38 years\, MSMTA has sponsored the High School Piano Exams in cooperation with the Maryland Department of Education.  The exam is for piano students in grades 9-12 in public\, non-public\, or home taught schools who are residents of Maryland and are studying piano privately on a regular basis during the school year.  Passing students are awarded a certificate of achievement at their school.  \nDeadline for both Credit and Recognition (!) is Saturday\, April 24th\, 2021.  Uploads of videos are due May 21. \nPlease see the Maryland State Music Teachers Association website for more details.  Also\, below are the basic description and entry forms from the current MSMTA Student Activities Booklet.  Please scroll to the bottom of the pdf and use the buttons that appear under your cursor to page through the pdfs or download to your computer. \n
