DESCRIPTION:This competitive piano event is open to school-age students of all levels who are students of a GCMTA member teacher.  Standard or quality teaching repertoire is expected. Deadline for entry is IN HAND March 24. \n  \nActive and Prelude GCMTA members in good standing are eligible to enter their students in GCMTA events.  If you wish to enter your child or student into a GCMTA event\, and are not a member\, please first contact our Membership Chair\, and then join here. SUMMARY:MSMTA High School Recognition Exams - Columbia Center
DESCRIPTION:For over 40 years\, MSMTA has sponsored the High School Piano Exams in cooperation with the Maryland Department of Education.  The exam is for piano students in grades 9-12 in public\, non-public\, or home taught schools who are residents of Maryland and are studying piano privately on a regular basis during the school year.  Passing students are awarded a certificate of achievement for their school record. \nDeadline is Monday\, March 31st\, 2026.  Uploads of videos are due by 11:59 pm May 15. \nPlease see the Maryland State Music Teachers Association website for more details. \n
