ZOOM EVENT: Music Tells the Story is our theme recital for students of all ages, abilities, and instruments. Students entering write a story about their piece in one paragraph. The stories are included on the program for the audience to enjoy and the students benefit from writing a personal and engaging tale about their music. LIVE ZOOM EVENT! A noncompetitive event - audience is important! Students play a minimum of 2 minutes of memorized music. A carefully selected judge from outside the association listens, writes comments, and assigns a rating which can be applied toward Gold Cup points. Literature requirements are the same as in other GCMTA events. A student may use 2 pieces to reach the 2 minute minimum.
